I was privileged to attend the ZEST Awards, held on 30 May at Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park. These awards are a key event celebrating the incredible contributions of community groups and leaders in Western Sydney. Organised by the Western Sydney Community Forum, the awards highlight the achievements in regions such those within the Leppington electorate. This year's event continued to showcase the region's diversity, creativity, and innovation, challenging negative stereotypes by promoting positive contributions. Recognising unsung heroes and community champions, the ZEST Awards emphasise the vital role of community service. A huge congratulations to the nominees, finalists and especially the winners. This special event demonstrates the strong support and engagement from the community, celebrating the dedication, hard work and spirit that make Western Sydney a vibrant and thriving region. It is always my pleasure to attend an event that promotes the innovative and creative work being done in communities across Western Sydney.
