I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Greater Western Sydney Young Champions Awards on 26 October at the Liverpool Catholic Club, and what a night it was. The event, organised by Rainbow Crossing Inc. under the leadership of Brian Laul, brought together outstanding young people from across Liverpool, Fairfield and Cabramatta. It was a true celebration of excellence, resilience and community spirit. Every finalist and winner showed us what's possible when young people are supported to rise above challenges and pursue their goals. Whether it was in sport, science, the arts or quiet acts of leadership, these young champions reminded us just how bright the future can be. What stood out most was their dedication to community. They're not just dreaming big, they're already making a difference. Congratulations to all involved. The night was a powerful reminder that our next generation deserves every recognition and every opportunity to thrive.
