They say cricket is more than a game, it's a test of character, patience, and teamwork. And I could see just how true that is when I attended the Willowdale Cricket Clubs Seniors Presentation Day on June 7. I still remember when Jeet first came to me in January last year with the idea of starting a cricket club in Denham Court. A few meetings, emails, and calls later, Willowdale Cricket Club was born. I am very proud to have come on board as an inaugural sponsor. Fast forward one season, and they're already hitting it over the fence for 6. The Grade 4 team took home the Grand Final, a huge win for such a young club. It's clear the foundations are strong, the energy is high, and the talent is already coming through the ranks. I can't wait to see the club continue to grow and produce future cricket icons.
