William Carey Christian School

07 May 2024

I rise to congratulate William Carey Christian School on celebrating 40 years since it first opened its doors to students on the 9th of February 1984. The work of opening William Carey precedes this into the early 1970s, when a group of local parents began planning for a Christian school to serve the Liverpool and Campbelltown areas. What started as a school of four students at the Reformed Church on Kennedy Street in Liverpool has evolved into an integral community school for over 1300 students from Prep to Year 12 in the heart of Prestons in my electorate. I congratulate all the staff, students and parents - past and present - who have contributed to the William Carey community. I especially congratulate Principal Keith McMullen and the current school community as they look to celebrate this milestone throughout the year. I look forward to seeing William Carey Christian School's continued success for many years to come.
