Tribute to Milorad Vidovic

03 June 2026

I acknowledge the life and service of Milorad Vidovic, a long‑serving and much‑loved member of the Liverpool City Council family, who passed away recently. For more than 26 years, Milorad served the community as a library services courier. He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness and the positive impact he had on those around him. Before migrating to Australia in 1996, Milorad worked as a radio journalist in Belgrade, Serbia. Despite experiencing hardship, he was known for his kindness, optimism and care for others. My wife, Christy, remembers meeting Milorad while on pre‑poll during the 2021 local government election. Every few days he would pop by Green Valley Library to drop off and pick up books. He would have a chat and see how she was going. She recalls his kindness and genuine interest in others—qualities that left a lasting impression. Milorad leaves behind a remarkable legacy of service. I offer my sincere condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues.
