It is with deep sadness that I mark the passing of Maria Campisi. Maria was the loving wife of Giuseppe "Joe" Campisi, who runs Campisi's Continental Butchery in West Hoxton. Campisi's has been a mainstay in my community for close to 50 years. Joe set up shop in 1976, and his brother Tony runs the deli next door. Any small business is a family affair, and it is no different when it comes to Campisi's. Maria was the loving and supportive wife of Joe and helped in the shop, as does their son Eugenio. Campisi's has been a centre of our community, hosting community barbeques. Maria will be sorely missed by everyone in Leppington and throughout Liverpool.
