On March 26, I had the privilege of visiting Tobruk Retirement Village in Austral for a morning tea and heartfelt conversations with its wonderful residents. It was an enriching experience to engage with such a spirited community and hear about their many stories, life experiences, interests and concerns. Continuing this special connection, I was honoured to return on April 23 as the MC for their Anzac Day memorial service. This event was deeply meaningful as we paid tribute to our brave servicemen and women. Both visits were not just memorable but also underscored the deep respect and gratitude we hold for our veterans. These moments highlight the strength and spirit of our community in Leppington.
