On 18 December, I had the privilege of joining St Vincent de Paul Society Mt Pritchard, alongside the Member for Liverpool, to assist with their Christmas Hamper handout and help share some festive cheer with local families. The handout offered a wide range of items, from gifts for young children through to teenagers and young adults, as well as single gift packs and generously filled hampers. Events like this are a significant reminder of the compassion that exists within our community. They bring people together with a shared purpose, ensuring families feel supported, valued, and able to experience the joy of the Christmas season, regardless of their circumstances. It was inspiring to see the care and thought that went into every hamper, reflecting a genuine commitment to helping others. I extend my sincere thanks to Tricia and the dedicated volunteers who organised the day, and to everyone who donated so generously. I have no doubt your kindness made a meaningful difference for many families during a special time of year.
