On 23 July, I had the honour of joining the St Joseph Trades Skills Centre community to celebrate an incredible 10-year milestone. Over the past decade, this centre has become much more than a place of learning – it's become a launchpad for young people to build futures grounded in confidence, knowledge, and real-world skills. What began as a vision has grown into a dynamic and thriving hub for vocational education, serving students from Good Samaritan Catholic College and its partner schools. The centre is equipping the next generation with hands-on experience, industry-relevant training, and the values needed to succeed in life and work. At the heart of this success are the educators – dedicated teachers and trainers who inspire academic excellence, resilience, leadership, and ambition. Their influence shapes not just careers, but character. Congratulations to the entire St Joseph Trades Skills Centre community on this remarkable milestone.
