On 9 August, I was delighted to attend the 36th Annual Serbian Folkloric Festival at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club, an incredible celebration of Serbian culture, heritage, and community spirit. Events like this are a testament to the rich multicultural fabric of our area. This event showcased the vibrant traditions of the Serbian community through the captivating folkloric performances from Serbian clubs nationwide. I especially enjoyed the delicious cuisine like the famous cevapi and family-friendly activities on the club grounds. The festival highlighted the strength and pride of the Serbian community which is especially prominent in South Western Sydney. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate their heritage while sharing it with the broader community. It's gatherings like these that remind us how diversity truly enriches our communities. Congratulations to the organisers, performers, and volunteers for putting on such a fantastic event.
