It was my honour to attend the RSL Poppy Ball 2024 in Victoria Barracks on the 23rd of November. The ball is a fundraising gala hosted by RSL LifeCare Veteran Services, to raise money for the free services offered to veterans and their families. We enjoyed many performances including from the Australian Federation Guard Precision's Drill team, the Scots College Pipe & Drum band and a guest performance from John Schumann. It was an immense privilege to receive exclusive access to the Victoria Barracks and its rich history. It was a great moment of reflection and honour to the brave Australians who have made great sacrifices for this nation. RSL LifeCare was able to raise $176,000 for veterans and their families including financial assistance, housing, education and employment. I am so inspired by RSL LifeCare Veteran Services' dedication and continued support for our veterans. A big thank you to everyone who organised, hosted and contributed to the gala.
