Raby Oval has officially taken top honours, named the best cricket venue in NSW — a remarkable achievement for a ground that has proudly hosted the Campbelltown Camden Ghosts for over 40 years. Renowned for its quality, Raby has now been formally recognised, taking first place in Cricket NSW's Ground of the Year awards. The title wasn't handed out lightly — umpires assessed every aspect of the playing surface throughout the 2024/25 Premier Cricket season, including pitch performance, condition, outfield, and maintenance. This recognition reflects the outstanding care and professionalism that goes into maintaining the venue. It also comes on the back of more than $550,000 in recent upgrades to improve drainage and field resilience — funded by the NSW Government and Campbelltown Council. Whether it's elite cricket or a weekend hit-around, Raby Oval now sets the standard. A huge win for our sporting community — and well and truly deserved.
