On 5 November, I had the pleasure of joining the Community Partners panel for this term's Bellfield Social Innovators program. It's a fantastic initiative delivered in partnership between Bellfield College and Crazy Ideas College. It was great to see Year 9 students from Bellfield step up and take part in this challenge. Across two days, students worked in teams to design creative solutions to real-world issues from caring for the environment to improving wellbeing, reimagining learning and building stronger communities. At the end of the program, each team pitched their ideas to the panel, sharing their concepts with passion and purpose. It was clear they had put in the effort. Not just in coming up with their ideas, but in learning how to communicate them clearly and confidently. Opportunities like this help young people build public speaking and teamwork skills in a meaningful way. And from what I saw, the future looks bright with these young change makers.
