This year, I had the privilege of celebrating Pakistan Day on 23 March by attending two significant community events that reflected pride, unity, and purpose. The afternoon began with a Pakistan Day Rally organised by the AUSPAK Youth Association, starting at Parry Park in Lakemba and concluding in Revesby. AUSPAK is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering disadvantaged communities through education, healthcare, and social welfare. The rally was a powerful display of unity and pride, promoting inclusivity and social impact within the local Pakistani community. Later that evening, the Pakistan Association of Australia Inc. hosted a special Iftar and Pakistan Day celebration at Himalaya Restaurant in Granville. Attended by community members, local leaders, and the Consul General of Pakistan, the event commemorated the Lahore Resolution of 1940 and the formation of Pakistan's first constitution. It was a chance to honour the contributions of Pakistani Australians to New South Wales and embrace the spirit of Ramadan, strengthening cultural and communal bonds across generations.
