On the 22nd of February, I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of the new Oz Arab Media offices in Milperra. It was a fantastic event filled with celebration, networking, and insight into their impactful work. Oz Arab Media has quickly become a vital platform for ethnic media in Western Sydney, particularly as local newspapers decline. Their radio service plays a crucial role in keeping the Arab community informed, connected, and engaged, especially during critical times like the COVID‑19 pandemic. By leveraging online platforms and social media, they ensure important messages reach a broad audience efficiently. I was honoured to be one of the first interviewed in their office – thank you to Remi and Charbel. It's incredible to see how far they have come since. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter, and I look forward to seeing Oz Arab Media continue to keep the Arab communities in Australia connected through multicultural communication and community engagement.
