Newman Symposium Holy Spirit

12 February 2026

The future of our community is bright when our young people are given the confidence to think boldly, create freely, and share their ideas with pride. That spirit was on full display at the annual Newman Symposium held on 12 December at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School in Carnes Hill. The symposium highlighted the students' learning in an engaging way, bringing their ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to life. Through their presentations, students showed not just what they had learned, but their curiosity, resilience, and readiness to step outside their comfort zones. They presented with assurance and pride, reflecting the positive and supportive learning environment nurtured at their school. It was also fantastic to see the support of parents and families who took the time to attend and encourage the students throughout the event. Their presence played an important role in making the day more cherished. I extend my thanks to the teachers, staff, and school community who worked together to deliver such an inspiring symposium. Events like this highlight the incredible potential of our young people and the supportive communities that help them thrive.
