The rain held off after a stormy Saturday for a great Macarthur Multicultural Children's festival on May 7. Made possible by Brian Laul and the whole team at the Multicultural Children's Festival and Rainbow Crossing, the festival celebrates the best of cultural diversity in Macarthur. Children from over 50 multicultural community groups came together under the banner 'Playing together and Living in Harmony.' It was a day of fun and a display of cultural talents and specialities. The festival was packed to the brim with an amazing range of stalls and activities. Events that capture the harmony and cohesion between residents from many different ethnicities, religions and cultures shows our enthusiasm for a peaceful multicultural society. It ensures that the next generation learn their languages, cultures and customs while building on our collective commitment of a cohesive society. From the Cosplay Corner to the Children's Parade, the festival did just that. I am truly inspired by our lively and diverse community, and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves to their fullest.
