Liverpool Quota Women's Day Breakfast

19 March 2025

On the 7th of March at Liverpool Quota's 17th International Women's Day Breakfast, we celebrated the resilience, achievements, and contributions of women in our community—contributions that are too often overlooked. This year's guest speaker, Alison Harle, Director of Allied Health at Bankstown Hospital, shared important messages based on her personal experiences – like how imposter syndrome isn't a barrier—it's an opportunity for growth. Women should never have to choose between their careers and their families, and we must remember to celebrate our achievements rather than rushing to chase the next goal. Alison also reflected on the struggles women faced in past generations, such as losing their jobs upon marriage. While we've come a long way, disparities remain—double standards, the gender pay gap, and barriers to leadership persist. Thank you to Alison and Liverpool Quota, events like these remind us that change is possible, but only if we keep pushing for gender equality and uplift the next generation of young women.
