Leppington Electorate School Students

05 August 2025

To celebrate Education Week this week, I had the pleasure of hosting teachers and students from years 8 to 11 from a number of schools in my electorate for morning tea. Students came from Leppington Anglican College, Thomas Hassall Anglican College, Clancy Catholic College, Good Samaritan Catholic College, John Edmondson High School, Robert Townson High School and William Carey Christian School. We talked about what matters most to those students, from the need for better sporting facilities in Western Sydney to concerns about housing, HECS and access to creative spaces. Their interests were diverse, including music, history, sport, STEM and finance, and there were a couple of crochet and Rubik's cube lovers too. What stood out most was their drive not only to succeed academically but also to grow their passions and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Those students were switched on, thoughtful and full of potential. I am incredibly proud of them and grateful to the dedicated teachers who help shape their young minds. The future in Leppington looks very bright.
