October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I capped it off with the annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon courtesy of Ladies Like To Lunch. Ladies Like To Lunch is a fantastic local organisation focused on supporting women from south‑west Sydney dealing with the effects of cancer. The Pink Ribbon Luncheon saw community members from across south‑west Sydney gather to raise funds for the fantastic work of the organisation. I admit that I paid an exorbitant amount of money for a rare bag of Fantales. It was an incredible event, with a focus on empowering and supporting those affected by breast cancer. Part of that was an auction segment, when I purchased the aforementioned bag of Fantales. I thank directors Antoinette and Lorenzo Sulfaro and Grace Newcombe for putting on such a fantastic event. Their advocacy for women with cancer in south‑west Sydney is an inspiration, and I look forward to attending the event for many years to come.
