I would like to congratulate Joseph Shipley of John Edmondson High School on being named the Liverpool Catholic Club Junior Sportsperson of the Year. A remarkable achievement and a testament to his dedication across a range of sports. From rugby league and rugby union to touch football, athletics and cross country, Joseph has consistently represented his school and community with pride, determination and discipline. His achievements include receiving the NSW Premier's Education Sports Award and previously being named Male Sportsperson of the Year at Greenway Park Public School. Joseph's talent and hard work have also earned him selection in the Australian Schoolboys team, with the opportunity to compete in the United Kingdom and France later this year. He has additionally been selected to attend Westfields Sports High School in 2026. Congratulations, Joseph, on your outstanding achievements. I wish you all the best for a bright future ahead.
