I would like to thank the HAMRO club for hosting their 5th anniversary gala night on 23 May, celebrating half a decade of selfless service towards the community. "Hamro Club", translated in Nepali language is "Our club" and I was able to see that ownership and connection firsthand at the gala held at the Skyview Reception Function Centre. First started by a group of football lovers in Oran Park, the club has grown into one that promotes recreation, sports and culture in order to bring locals together. As a non-profit, they aim to improve the community's mental and physical fitness, promoting soccer events, social catch-ups and honourable values targeting respect, diversity and honesty. I thank HAMRO Club for their active engagement with the local community and look forward to seeing the club continue to support and uplift local athletes.
