I recently joined the wonderful community at Greenway Park Public School to celebrate Harmony Day — and let's just say, I now have a newfound respect for the art of making snow cones. It was a pleasure to help out on the snow cone stall alongside the dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students. Between working the ice machine (which I may or may not have wrestled into submission) and handing out armfuls of syrupy orange goodness, my hands may have been stained orange, but it was all part of the fun. Schools right across the Leppington electorate marked Harmony Day this year with food, music, colour and connection — celebrating the many cultures and communities that make our area so special. Harmony Day is more than a date on the calendar — it's a powerful reminder that everyone belongs. A big thank you to the Greenway Park PS community for inviting me to share in such a fun and meaningful day.
