On 7 September I had the honour of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with residents of East Leppington and the United Multicultural Association of Australia. Ganesh Chaturthi is a significant festival for the Hindu people that marks the birth of Lord Ganesh. This event not only symbolises new beginnings and prosperity but also unites our diverse community in shared values of devotion and hope. Ganesh Chaturthi is a time for reflection and renewal, where individuals seek blessings for their endeavours. It fosters a spirit of collaboration and support. The festival's vibrant rituals and communal celebrations highlight the cultural richness that Hindu traditions bring to our multicultural society. Participating in the Ganesh Puja with the community was a profoundly enriching experience. I extend my gratitude to the Ganesh Puja committee and all who were in attendance. Their efforts ensured the event was a wonderful celebration of unity and shared purpose in Leppington.
