On 25 October, I had the great pleasure of attending Football NSW's Annual State Awards at the Visy Dior Hotel in Norwest. The event was both a celebration and a chance to recognise the incredible people who pour their time, energy, and passion into the game at every level. From players and coaches to referees, volunteers, and administrators, it's their dedication that keeps our local football community thriving. The awards presented which include the State Awards, Fair Play Award, Future Leaders Award, and the prestigious George Churchward Medal, shine a light on those who go above and beyond for the love of the game and the strength of their community. I was honoured to present awards to the Macarthur Football Association, Hills Football, and the Manly Warringah Football Association. Congratulations to all the deserving recipients. Recognising your hard work reminds us that sport isn't just played on the fields, it's built by the people who support it, day in and day out.
