The Eagle Vale St Andrews JRLFC community recently showed the true meaning of sport by coming together in support of Go Grey for Tay. Go Grey for Tay began after Taylah Martin was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in 2022. Since then, the campaign has united communities to raise awareness, support families affected by brain cancer and contribute to vital research. The fundraiser was a wonderful example of the generosity that exists within our local sporting community. I particularly acknowledge the Under 16 Silver team, their families and the club committee for organising the day. It was also heartening to hear that players, families and supporters from East Campbelltown's Under 16s team generously donated, proving that when it comes to supporting an important cause, club rivalries are put aside. I thank everyone who donated, volunteered and supported the event. Your kindness will make a real difference for the Martin family while helping raise awareness of a disease that impacts many Australians.
