Speaker, on Friday the 16th of June, I had the opportunity to attend a morning tea organised by the P&C committee at Dalmeny Public School in Prestons. It was terrific to be able to meet and talk to the parents, teachers and school staff that make up this school community. Dalmeny Public School P&C organises fantastic events for their school community to enjoy: including school discos, mothers and Father's Day stalls, raffles, canteens, morning teas, and - as many of us in this house would agree is any P&Cs most important event - the election day sausage sizzle! I should personally thank those in the Dalmeny P&C for providing my democracy sausage on polling day back in March!
Dalmeny P&C has also made sure to give back to their school, through holding second-hand uniform sales and fundraising for the purchase of a new school sign. Thank you to the members of the Dalmeny Public School P&C Committee for hosting the morning tea and inviting me along to take part. I look forward to continuing to partner with P&Cs in the Leppington electorate to support our students' education.
