On 1 March 2024, I had the pleasure of attending the commissioning ceremony of Karen Easton as the new principal of Thomas Hassall Anglican College. The ceremony celebrated Karen's dedication to education, her vision for the school, and her commitment to the students. The atmosphere was one of respect and support, as staff, students, parents, and guests came together to welcome and show their appreciation for the new principal. As Karen stepped into her new role, there was an evident sense of positivity and unity among the attendees, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Thomas Hassall Anglican College, while also continuing the mission of the school where every student is valued and nurtured. Karen's appointment brings a sense of renewal and promise to the college, with high hopes for a bright future under her leadership. I congratulate Karen on her appointment and wish her every success as she embarks on her new journey at Thomas Hassall.
