I was honoured to have recently attended the Commencement Service of Reverend Mike Leite as a Senior Minister at the Hope Anglican Church in Leppington. Hope Anglican Church is a growing church community led by a team dedicated to the developing community of Leppington. Mike and I are both recent appointments to serving the people of Leppington, albeit in very different realms. However, there is some communality in purpose: Leppington is growing rapidly and is a community in need. We will both work tirelessly to fulfil that need. Churches and other places of worship, like the Hope Anglican Church, are vital to building the sense of community new electorates like mine need to thrive. I look forward to working alongside Mike, his fellow clergy and the parishioners at Hope and all of Leppington's faith communities over the coming years. I congratulate Mike, his wife Emily and their four children on Mike's elevation to the role and welcome them to Leppington.
