Clean Up Australia Day, an event dedicated to environmental conservation, offers communities across the nation a chance to actively participate in preserving natural landscapes and urban areas. In recognition of this important day that was held on 3 March this year, I attended two clean ups: one organised by BAPS at Macleod Park Prestons and another at Willowdale Park in Denham Court. The clean-up events were attended by enthusiastic volunteers from the local area who helped to remove litter and enhance the beauty of the park. It was wonderful to witness the collective responsibility that we share in fostering a sustainable environment. By coming together to clear debris and tidy our shared spaces, we not only improved these parks' aesthetics but hoped to raise awareness about the ongoing need to care for our surroundings every day. It is always a pleasure to engage with my constituents, especially when they come together as a community for this important environmental cause.
