On Sunday, 2nd March, I joined a group of local volunteers at Schoeffel Park in Horningsea Park, to take part in Clean Up Australia Day. Led by Vinod Scindia and Friends of India, we collected everything from food wrappers and abandoned bikes – to car bumpers and even half a couch – some surprising finds no doubt. For 35 years, Clean Up Australia has inspired and urged communities to protect and preserve our environment, tackling waste and promoting sustainability. While this annual event is a powerful initiative, real change happens when we all take responsibility every day, properly disposing of waste and keeping our shared spaces clean. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making Schoeffel Park a cleaner, more enjoyable space. Every small effort counts, and together, we can build a more sustainable future. Let's continue this commitment beyond a single day—our environment depends on it.
