It is widely known throughout this great State that I love a good trivia night. On Saturday it was my immense pleasure to join the Catherine Field Rural Fire Service for its trivia night at Oran Park Hotel. Unfortunately, my team did not take out first place—we were two points short—but I congratulate the Harrington family, ably led by Col and Janice, who did take out first prize. The night was a great success. It brought the community together and raised very valuable funds for the newly renovated station and brigade at Catherine Field. Fundraising events like that help support the dedicated men and women who give their time to protect local families, homes and businesses. While my community is growing and becoming more urbanised, there is still a very vital role for the Rural Fire Service, which the Catherine Field team will no doubt serve for many years to come. I thank them for having me.
