Campbelltown Camden District Cricket Club

28 May 2025

I say a huge congratulations to the Campbelltown Camden District Cricket Club—the Ghosts—as they notch up a brilliant 40 years at the crease. This is not just a milestone; it is a legacy built innings by innings, season after season. From their debut in the 1985-86 Sydney Cricket Association competition, the Ghosts have gone from strength to strength, fielding elite talent from the Macarthur region. To this day, around 95 per cent of their players come through the local junior ranks—a true grassroots success story. With 29 premierships under their belt—16 men's and 13 women's—the club continues to deliver match-winning performances on and off the field. I give a special shout‑out to a couple of names familiar to this place: club president Morris lemma and vice‑president Chris Patterson, as well as all of the players, officials and volunteers over those four illustrious decades. I congratulate them on everything they have achieved for cricket, the community and the club.
