I congratulate Ms Bella Dela Cruz, a proud Leppington local, who has been crowned Miss International Australia 2025 and will represent our nation at the Miss International coronation in Japan on 27 November. Bella embodies both her Filipino heritage and Australian upbringing with immense pride. She works as an economist and consultant at Oxford Economics Australia and is dedicated to creating meaningful change through education and youth empowerment. Her advocacy centres on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: quality education. Through her foundation and charitable initiatives, Bella has delivered school supplies, supported scholarships, and established mentorship programs that give young people the tools and confidence to thrive. When we met recently, Bella shared her inspiring story and the values that guide her work and that she will bring to the global stage in Tokyo in the coming weeks. Her achievements are a source of pride for her family, the Filipino Australian community and the Leppington electorate. Good luck to Bella.
