It was a joy to be part of this year's Rath Yatra (Festival of Chariots) on 21 June, held for the first time at the newly opened BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Kemps Creek. This vibrant festival celebrates the symbolic journey of the chariots and carries a deeper message of unity, joy, and spiritual reflection. It's a reminder to move through life with kindness, peace, and a sense of togetherness. The day began with a sacred ceremony to bless the beautifully decorated chariots, followed by a short gathering and then the energetic, music-filled procession. I'm grateful to the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Sydney for their always warm hospitality and for creating a space where the community could come together to share in this meaningful tradition. It was truly uplifting to see so many people celebrating harmony and goodwill in such a spirited and inclusive way.
