Healthcare workers are a backbone of our community, working tirelessly to keep us healthy and thriving. On the 23rd of February, I had the honour of cutting the ribbon at the brand-new Austral Health Medical Centre, a much-needed addition to our growing community. This modern facility will provide accessible, high-quality healthcare, offering everything from general check-ups and preventative care to women's health, chronic disease management, minor surgeries, and allied health services such as physiotherapy, dietetics, and mental health support. Having a strong, local healthcare network means earlier diagnoses, better treatment options, and improved well-being for families, seniors, and individuals. It also alleviates pressure on hospitals by ensuring people receive timely care close to home. A big Leppington welcome to the Austral Health team—their expertise and dedication will make a real difference in the lives of so many.
