It was a pleasure to join the Tamil community last December for the 12th Annual Global Business Meet, a dynamic two-day event held from 6 to 7 December. The scale and energy of the gathering were truly impressive, with representatives from more than 30 countries, over 200 overseas businesses, and ministers in attendance from India, Canada, the Middle East, and Malaysia. With more than 80 international chambers represented, alongside 50 exhibition stalls and 50 dedicated networking tables, the event created countless opportunities for meaningful connection and collaboration. It was great to see such a diverse mix of businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups sharing ideas, showcasing innovation, and building new partnerships. I sincerely thank the Greater Cumberland Chamber of Commerce, the World Tamil Chamber of Commerce, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver such a successful event. I also acknowledge the businesses and startups who brought enthusiasm, ambition, and fresh thinking into the room. The meet highlighted the value of coming together to trade, learn, and grow, strengthening global links while supporting local enterprise.
