On June 3rd, I joined the Member for Liverpool Charishma Kaliyanda, along with Federal Member for Werriwa Anne Stanley and the always entertaining Kerry O'Keeffe, in celebrating 100 years – or a century not out – of the Fairfield Liverpool Cricket Association at their Annual Dinner Presentation at Liverpool Catholic Club in Hoxton Park. The Fairfield Liverpool Cricket Association can be proud of its achievements, having nurtured and supported the great sporting talent of the South West since 1923. The association has also nurtured great talents who have gone on to play first-class representative cricket, the most famous of which is former Australian test captain Michael Clarke, who spent his junior career playing for the club. I wish to congratulate the Lions on a successful century, and wish them all the best as they embark on their second. Thank you to Peter Moore, Sharjeel Siddiqui and everyone at FLCA involved in putting this event together, and for all you do for local cricket.
