That this House:

(1) Notes the former Government's neglect of our education system, where poor funding has led to declining student outcomes and thousands of teachers leaving the profession.

(2) Acknowledges the passionate advocacy of our teachers.

(3) Commends the Government and Minister for Education on securing a historic pay rise for New South Wales' 95,000 teachers, a deal that will see the largest increase in teacher salaries in decades.
